Assignment Description For this weeks assignment (#3) I chose to take pictures of food. Over the weekend I had made banana & peanut butter toast, and added some ingredients to it to make it look more appetizing. I had taken multiple photos of this toast in many different places to hopefully catch a pleasing meal. Something I noticed while looking at photos of food is that food is well served and decorated with spices. As I was prepping my morning toast , it didn't seem appetizing yet, I decided to add a sprinkle of ground cinnamon and 2 cinnamon sticks to top it all off. The extra spices really added to making the meal look more appealing. Another thing I noticed while looking at professional pictures of food is that the lighting is usually very light, it seems to cast a nice glow on the food being presented. In order to mimic the lighting, I tried using natural light, so bringing the food close to an open window really helped the quality overall shot of the toast. I also learned about positioning of the food. Getting the right angle was really important and also dramatically effected each and every shot I took.
